Weather Delay for Challenge Cup Round 6 PDI

The sixth and final round of PDI images for the Challenge Cup could not be held on Thursday 1 March 2018 as planned because the bad weather made it impossible for the judge, Steve Dormer, to travel to us from Northamptonshire.  The club discussed the best way forward with Steve and he very kindly agreed to judge the images remotely, as though it was the actual competition.  The images downloaded by the members for the competition were made available to Steve to view over the Internet, in exactly the same order as he would have seen them had the competition gone ahead.  Each image was displayed with the title only.  He will be passing his scores and hopefully, some comments on at least some of the higher scoring images, in the early part of the next week.

As soon as we receive the scores they will be entered into the club computer software and they will be published on the BDCC website as a gallery, showing the image, position, score, title and author in reverse scoring order, as normal, along with the table showing all image scores on the competition results page here:

Once the scoring processes have been completed, Mark will produce the relevant scoring tables and they will be published, as usual, on the BDCC web site for members to view.

UPDATE – Normally, once the scores are added into the club competition software on the night, an email is sent to entrants giving them their score.  In this case, the emails will be sent once we have manually entered the judge’s scores and checked everything.  To see the rest of the images and the final score sheets when this has all been completed, members should go here:

UPDATE – As at Saturday 10 March the judge has still not sent the results to the club and a message will be put here once they are in and being processed.

UDATE – Thursday morning 15 March.  Still no news from the judge with the scores.
