What’s New December 2025

An interesting recent development for photographers is the launch of a new App called Irys which is avaiable on both the Apple Store and Google Play. It has been developed by a photographer for photographers and is aimed at being an alternative for Instagram which is becoming more focussed on video rather than still photography. I scanned an a recent article about this that was in AP and you can find it here.

I’ve downloaded the App but not played with it yet. On launch you don’t instantly see any images. The Posts, Groups and Collections buttons don’t do anything. However, if you hit the search button some images appear. The Groups button now functions and the Collections button is replaced by a Users button.
