Battle vs Stevenage & Kempston
What a good night to end the seasons external competitions. Judge Ron Tear was on good form handing out 20’s like confetti, unfortunately Kempston didn’t show, so they only scored on the digital images. The competition was in two halves, in the first half the digital images which Biggleswade won convincingly by 191 to Stevenage 183 and Kempston 165. We also picked up 6 x 20’s for:
Infinite Art by Brian Hunt
Sunflower oil by David Scott
Gotcha by Mark Glenister
The Archer by Roger Bradshaw
The Sculler by Roger Willoughby
Catching The Sun by Ian Gostelow
The second half was all change, Stevenage won by 194 to Biggleswade’s 184 making Stevenage the overall winners for the fourth year in succession with a total score of 377 to Biggleswade’s 375. We picked up a further 5 x 20’s for the prints:
Showing Off Kolkata by Dennis Anguige
Kay by Mark Glenister
Flossy On A Mission by Mark Glenister
Snow Hare On Ben Nevis by Roy Higgins
The Carpenter by Roger Bradshaw
It was also nice to have such strong support from the club with 14 making the journey. As this is the last competition for a while I would like to thank the selection committee for their effort, especially Ian and Carolyn who have hosted all of our meetings this year and all of those members who have made the effort to support the club, we may only have won the Central Club Challenge but it has been a better year in which we came close so often.
Congratulations to all of those scoring 20’s.
Looking forward to an even better year ahead.
